Spring Walk - Identification & Harvesting

Spring Walk - Identification & Harvesting

Join us for a colourful spring walk focused on fresh, cleansing herbs. Along the way, we will identify calendula, nettle, dandelion, galium, lamium, and daisies, and discuss how to responsibly harvest seasonal plants. We’ll explore how these herbs support the body’s natural detoxification processes and learn about their effects, preparations, and simple remedies for everyday therapeutic use.

At the foot of Mount Dirfis in central Evia, we’ll visit the village of Vounoi near Steni. Our walk follows a small river past an old watermill, surrounded by spring growth, and leads to an ancient oak tree where we’ll rest and continue sharing traditional herbal knowledge and remedies that help support resilience and seasonal balance.

  • Walk duration: approximately 3–4 hours

  • Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a hat and water bottle

Meeting points

  • 9:30 am at Valsamo, 31 Orionos St, Chalkida (carpooling available), or

  • 10:30 am in the village for those with their own transport
