Summer Herb Identification & Collection

Summer Herb Identification & Collection

We invite you to join us in nature, under the warm light of the sun, to get to know up close the precious herbs of the summer season. We will learn how to identify them, how to collect them with respect, and how to understand the power they hold within. We will discover how these “gifts of summer” can care for and support us during the colder months of the year, offering us health and well-being.

A special emphasis will be placed on St. John’s wort, the “flower of the sun,” and we will learn step by step how to prepare St. John’s wort oil—one of the most powerful and healing herbal oils, essential for every home and every family.

We will also get to know rockrose (cistus) and its many uses, yarrow, which is so important for women’s health, mullein, cypress spurge, fleabane, walnut, and many other valuable herbs that contribute to natural health and beauty.

All of this will be experienced through a wonderful exploration of the area of Seta, a magical mountain village one hour from Chalkida in south Evia.

Notebooks, pens and a cloth bag for collection is recommended along with water bottle, a hat and enclosed shoes.  This seminar is for everyone from beginners to those who have experience. The walk is ‘easy’ level.

We will meet either at ‘Valsamo’ laboratory in Chalkida – 31 Orionos St at 9.30 or in the village of Seta at 10.30. Carpooling is available for those who need.
